Crown of Midnight - Sarah J. Maas So sooo do good!!! The ending - holy cow!! So many surprising twists!!! I need the next one!!

Fault Line

Fault Line - Christa Desir Full Review to come.... This book will make you gasp with its brutal honesty and just be aware that the author didn’t spare us with anything. She didn’t put on her soft gloves to spare us the horrible and excruciating details, but rather shocks us to the core. I was crying so hard during the book and my eyes would pop out in utter shock about what is happening here. As I will not go into detail all I can say that the author won me over with the brutal way she didn’t spare us anything and neither spared her characters. This is a very brave book and I appreciate the route the author took so very much, as not every book will go down this route and would rather spare us some heartbreak and devastation

In Too Deep

In Too Deep - Coert Voorhees This is the perfect beach read!!! Full of adventure and also some cute romance. Oh and this needs to be made a movie! ;-)Oh and please I want another story with Annie!

Wise Young Fool

Wise Young Fool - Sean Beaudoin Read Review at Bewitched BookwormsYou all know these moments when you start a book and don’t really know what to expect, only to end up being super surprised. When “Wise Young Foul” came in, I wanted to read it because it sounded great and … well, the word “rockstar” totally helped a little too. But… what I ended up getting from this book was something I didn’t expect…Who’s Richie Sutton???This is how the book starts, with a note from the Editor saying that they got this manuscript and ever since are looking for Richie Sutton. If that isn’t smartly intriguing enough, we jump right ahead and hear Richie’s story from his POV and… especially in his very own voice! (Coming to that in a second..)Richie right now is in Juvie, for what we don’t know yet – but the story is alternating with stories from inside the Juvie and from before, telling us how he ended up in Juvie in the first place!Sex , Rock and Roll and lots of Attitude!Richie is the classic rocker with tons and tons of attitude! His voice was incredible and I know I won’t ever find the words to describe him correctly. He’s playing the badass and he#s playing it right. He’s a jerk, sometimes an ass – but what he always is and was especially to me – real! I not often have a feeling of genuine characters, characters that feel like they are just ripped off real lives – but Richie was just fabulously real. He’s 18 and yeah, he things he owns the world but then has to realize that being 18 doesn’t mean being wise enough yet to tackle what life is throwing at you. There is lots of casual talking of sex – but it was never downplayed not overplayed, it was just right and it was right for Richie! But even with all his badass attitude, Richie was incredibly smart and clever which made this boy even more intriguing! I couldn’t help but like him and most of the things that came out his mouth made me laugh out real bad!“A band is dying to be born. To rise from the ashes of our lameness” -ARC, Wise Young FoulBut with all these funny moments, there are lots of underlying drama and issues, which made the story not just light but also meaningful and earnest.Brilliantly written!!!I cannot say it any other way and I’m sad that I cannot express myself any better – but this book was absolutely and incredible brilliantly written. I’m in awe of the incredibly talented Sean Beaudoin as he managed to create characters in such a brutally honest way that made me want to jump into the pages and get to know these people! Richie’s voice was super smart, funny but then also filled with an earnest vulnerability Richie would totally deny himself.Who’s Richie Sutton???This is how the book starts, with a note from the Editor saying that they got this manuscript and ever since are looking for Richie Sutton. Where the Stars Still Shine

Where the Stars Still Shine - Trish Doller So many tears!!!! I teared up so many times, but it's such a beautiful and sad and heartbreaking story, yet so full of hope and wonderfullness!

Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend

Confessions of an Almost-Girlfriend - Louise Rozett THat was so awesome!! I remember loving the first on but I think this one was even better!! Rose was amazing and I had water in my eyes so so so often!! It was heartbreaking and real and genuine and true!

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown - Holly Black Read Review at Bewitched BookwormsBloody Awesome!!! Finally an epic Vampire story that is incredibly addicting, a little scary, bloody and sexy!!! More! Now!Scary – Eerie – Edgy! Vampires in Coldtown are … not so nice creatures! The world in “The Coldest Girl in Coldtown” was absolutely outstanding and refreshing! Vampires are out in the open and everyone knows about them and … also fears them. Because Vampires are definitely not nice creatures. They are dark and they are dangerous and you should truly stay inside during night if you want to life! But most Vampires exactly live in exile towns called Coldtown where they can do whatever pleases them. Yeah, scary! Because of course, also humans live they, as usually deeply fascinated with immortality and vampires. And let me tell you this whole concept and world-building was extremely dark and eerie, which made “The Coldest Girl in Coldtown” just more fascinating and exciting! And the story already opens with a super shocking and super bloody scene that set the mood for the whole story! There is nothing romantic about a bloodbath where 20 kids are slaughtered!Tana – kick ass! Go Tana! Go!There is so much to say about Tana – but in short, she is an incredible and excitingly fleshed out heroine! The moment she realizes that she might have been bitten, she knows she has to go to Coldtown in order to not protect the humans around her! Instead of being frozen with fear, she took action and made hurtful decisions. this showed her real inner strength and already there I admired her deeply. But Tana also has such a good heart, she’s not just kick ass and cold, she cares deeply about humanity. She would never hurt another human if there is a change to save them, even if it would cost herself!Tana is a heroine! A True wonderful heroine we all love reading about so much! She shines with personality and gives a warming touch to this cold and eery story!Bloody – Scary – Sexy! A perfect mix!Holly Black is a master in storytelling and not only did she develop an outstanding new world, she also gave us enough back story to understand without loosing touch with the story. The pace, though sometimes a little slow, was just right with a strong, shocking, fast paced opening, a little slower middle part but then, she hit us with a twisted ending that left us hanging and gasping. The romance between Tana and Gavriel was .. interesting! I was honestly hoping for a little more, but there were some truly lovely and also some truly hot, sexy scenes. Again, the perfect mix where nothing comes to short and nothing is overplayed!A few closing words about Gavriel! Hot and mysterious, he’s the perfect love interest for Tana and for us. He is surrounded by a layer of mystery that keeps us guessing and guessing, but also shows some truly lovely moments that make us swoon!

Teardrop

Teardrop (Teardrop Trilogy) - Lauren Kate Epic, brilliant, unique!!!!!!!Eureka was such a sad and broken character and mad my heart ache for her loss. She was so lost that she didn't know what to do with her life, until she reveals some secrets about her past that makes her keep going and uncovering the mysteries.I'm all for sad and tragic characters, because it makes the good things happen to them just sweeter and more powerful.Ander was a phenomenal character, but I just wished he would have gotten a little more storytime. I definitely wanted to know more about him. I'm sure we will in the next books.Wha I loved most about Teardrop was the storyline, the myth and the mystery!!I LOVE Atlantis stories and Teardrop proves to be epic and unique! And...of course there is an epic, passionate love story! Yeah!

Fangirl

Fangirl - Rainbow Rowell Read full Fangirling Review at Bewitched BookwormsThis was freaking brilliant. It was beautiful, moving and so touching. It's pure wonderment and I didn't want it to stop. There is so much honesty and beauty between this pages that I stand up and applaud. Before I dig deeper into this story I have to warn you because this will be a major love fest coming up here. I have so much love for this book, it’s not even funny and I damn hope to do this book justice and I hope I can express my deep love for FanGirl! Also, I know this review comes in a little early, but… I just had to share my deep and fangirling love for this book with you!Being lost in another world…Cath writes fan fiction. And not just that, she’s completely lost in it and has an incredible following. She’s a little star in the fan fiction world. For Cath, there is not much else in her world apart from her Twin Sister and her Dad. She’s just not a people-person. Cath easily gets lost in her stories and does not care for much despite writing and being in her characters world. When Cath and Wren are starting College and Wren decided to meet other people and does not want to share a room with Cath, Cath is broken. Her sister was her whole world and suddenly Cath has to face being alone and separate from her other half…. Cath – Oh sweet, awkward Girl!!!Cath is just adorable! She’s so lost in her world and she’s so incredibly awkward among other people that all I ever wanted to do is take her in my arms! She felt so lost in this new world with no clue how to act, how to make friends and just and simply how to be!! She was like a lost puppy and my heart ached for her, because she simply had no clue what do! All she ever knew was writing and reading, but there was always her twin to take care of her. But now with Wren wanting to make separate experiences, Cath is aloneBut there is also more to her backstory and why sh! e’s the way she is right now and it’s a quite heartbreaking story. There is so much depth in these characters that I wanted to crawl into this book!“Look at you. You’ve got your shit together; you’re not scared of anything. I’m scared of everything. And I’m crazy. Like maybe you think I’m a little crazy, but I only ever let people see the tip of my crazy iceberg. Underneath this veneer of slightly crazy and mildly socially retarded, I’m a complete disaster.” (ARC, Fangirl) “And I don’t fit in. I don’t know how to be. “ (ARC, Fangirl) Levi – holy freaking brilliant boy!!!Levi was absolutely outstanding as a character. I do not think I ever meet another character just like him. Holy Cow! He was such a sweet and positive boy who also showed so much deepness and understanding that I wish so much that I could meet this boy!I just loved loved loved the way he handled Cath. The way he understood her fear and angst and the way he was always there for her and never ever made her feel bad about who she is.This boy was made in heaven and I cannot express my deep adoration for him!Romance – Angst and AmazementThe romances was the cutest, slowest little thing ever. It was just made of perfection. There was no rush, no instant love, no soul mates – it was just perfectly real and incredible sweet. Those two characters were made for each other and their love was slow and had some heartbreaking, eyes watering moments. And… the first kiss was so touching and moving that it brought tears in my eyes because it was so perfect and sweet. Seriously, tell me one book were you had water in your eyes because of a kiss!!!There is so much I loved about this book that I know I won’t be able to tell you everything. But apart from the romance and these outstanding characters I also deeply loved the sister bond. Twins always have a different bond and it broke my heart right along with Cath when Wren decided to do her own things.“She wanted to meet new people,” Cath said. “You make is sound like she broke up with you.” (ARC, Fangirl) Yes, this is exactly how it felt for Cath, and being so close with her, we also felt that way!! My eyes were constantly water. Sometimes because it was so heartbreaking and sometimes it was so sweet and moving!

Truly, Madly, Deadly

Truly, Madly, Deadly - Hannah Jayne Read Review at Bewitched Bookworms Emotional Powerful Start!I love it the most when a book starts with a great scene! Something that draws you in! In Truly Deadly Madly, we get a quite emotional opening scene/chapter, which brings us right into the story. Sawyer just lost her boyfriend and this is exactly where the book starts. It’s truly emotional , however we cannot quite place Sawyers feelings which just makes it more intriguing to dig into the story and find out why Sawyers seems to be so confused about her feelings. Yeah, I’m not giving anything away here!Brilliant dialogues!!What struck me most about this book were the perfect and brilliant dialogues especially between Sawyer and her bubbly best friend Chloe! I love snarky, catching and entertaining banters so this was most definitely one aspect that I truthfully enjoyed!Who is the murder? Now, who is it? Any Guesses?I think one of the major parts in a murder mystery such as this one, is to figure out who the murderer is, right? Of course, there are a few subjects especially when we learn more and more about Sawyers herself. At some point I was getting pretty close to who the murderer is, but it was alright when we slowly pick up hints and getting closer and closer with our guesses! Why not tell anyone!?What drives me nuts in soo many stories is when protagonists are not telling their friends and family what is going on with them!! I was screaming a few times at Sawyer to finally tell someone and get help! It still doesn’t make sense to me that she didn’t tell her best friend with whom she shared everything with! In addition, she did tell the police but this horrible officer was telling her it’s all pranks. Seriously?? A kid is going to the police, being obviously scared and they do nothing? Makes me mad even now thinking about it!

Apollyon: The Fourth Covenant Novel

Apollyon - Jennifer L. Armentrout Brilliant as usual.
